Ultimate Weekend Stakes Action Schedule

             The ultimate weekend of racing – headed by the Grade 1, $3-million All American Futurity and the Grade 1, $2.4-million All American Derby – closes out the summer season at Ruidoso Downs over Labor Day weekend.

            In addition to the races, the Ruidoso Select Yearling runs on Friday through Sunday nights following the races each day. It is quarter horse racing’s premier yearling sale.

            There will be special post times for each day. The first post will be 12 p.m. on Friday through Sunday and 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

            Here is a rundown of the daily stakes racing action:

Friday, September 2, 12 p.m. first post time

            $20,000 Bill Reed Stakes at 870 yards

Saturday, September 3, 12 p.m. first post time

            $15,000 Ruidoso Sprint Claiming Stakes

Sunday, September 4, 12 p.m. first post time
