Ruidoso Downs guests will be able to wager on the All American Double and all of Monday’s races, including the $3-million All American Futurity, on Sunday.
The All American Double requires the correct selection of Sunday’s $1.3-million All American Derby winner and Monday’s All American Futurity winner.
The 440-yard All American Derby is headlined by Rainbow Derby winner and fastest-qualifier Hold Air Hostage, quarter horse racing’s number-one ranked horse. On the All American Derby undercard is the Grade 1, $200,000 All American Gold Cup with the earners of $5.8-million, a deep field competing in the $100,000 First Down Dash and a contentious group of thoroughbred fillies running in the $134,769 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity.
Monday’s very strong program features quarter horse racing showcase event, the Grade 1 All American Futurity. Trainer Wes Giles saddles the strong pair of Melvin Neugebauer’s Ruidoso Futurity winner Uptown Dynasty and Too For Too’s Zia Futurity winner Bigg Daddy.
Other Monday stakes that fans will be able to play on Sunday include the $200,000 All American Juvenile and thoroughbreds racing in the $135,395 Rio Grande Senor Thoroughbred Futurity and the $50,000 Ruidoso New Mexico-bred Thoroughbred Championship.
First post time is 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a 1 p.m. first post time on Monday.
