Contender Top Qualifier Saturday In the Adequan Ruidoso Downs Derby Challenge Trials

Contender broke on top and led all the way in the sixth race Saturday afternoon to win and become the top qualifier in the $55,726 Adequan Derby Challenge Trials at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.

 Contender is a three-year-old colt sired by Relentless out of the mare Painted Sable by PYC Paint Your Wagon. He is owned by Cristina Flores and trained by Jaime Aldavaz, Sr.
