AQHA Challenge Races, Concert by War Highlight

 Weekend of Racing at Ruidoso Downs 

     This weekend’s races at Ruidoso Downs are highlighted by quarter horse trials for the $140,000 (est) John Deere Juvenile, the $65,000 (est) AQHA Adequan Derby Challenge, and the $50,000 (est) AQHA Distaff Challenge. Sunday’s card features the $40,000 Grade-II Mr Jet Moore Handicap. Post time is 1 p.m. on Friday, and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

    On Saturday, the legendary seventies band “War” will perform in the Events Center across from the grandstand. Doors will open immediately following the races, and the concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office or online at www.raceruidoso.com.
