Vice President of Finance

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Finance is an upper-level executive who oversees all financial matters for All-American Ruidoso Downs, LLC (AARD). VP of Finance reports directly to GM and COO.

They are responsible for processing the financial activities of AARD to maximize the company’s profits and plan for its growth. The role includes analyzing data and advising top executives on ways to use that information to make strategic decisions about AARD’s future. With a hands-on approach to all aspects of the finances and must ensure AARD complies with tax laws and regulations specific to that industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation

  • Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.

  • Oversee development, oversight, and management of the organization’s investment plan

  • Lead and manage the budgeting process

  • Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance

  • Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports

  • Process the financial activities of an organization to maximize a company’s profits and plan for its growth

  • Ensure a company complies with tax laws and regulations specific to that industry

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Own all aspects of Finance operations, including: 

    • Regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement

    • Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators and outside agencies

  • Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes

  • Partner with the CEO to support corporate finance activities, including venture capital fundraising

  • Manage and supervise all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including the implementation of accounting and billing systems and controls

  • Partner with People Team on Equity administration and planning

  • Keep careful tabs on regular transactions, investments and any business deals that affect the bottom line.

  • Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets and liabilities

  • Monitor transactions

  • Prepare financial reports

Qualifications:

  • Five to ten years of experience

  • Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred.

  • Must obtain a New Mexico Gaming License and New Mexico Racing License

Salary:

  • Depends on experience.


Booth Cashier/Floor Attendant

Job Summary:

  • Booth Cashier / Floor attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Slot floor. Ensures all customers are attended to promptly and courteously, with a smile, and professionally.

  • The position includes the following; clocks in and reports to the Slot Supervisors who assigns the available cashier window, gets keys, and verifies money to make sure all monies are accounted for.

  • Conducts customer even money exchange transactions.

  • Assist in providing players club cards to our guests.

  • Conducts and pays out jackpots, perform other duties as required.

  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.

Essential Functions:

  • Redeems and totals customers' ticket(s) and pays cash for the amount turned in.

  • Exchanges funds accurately throughout the shift.

  • Keeps cash drawer always balanced.

  • Return keys, always at end of shift. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Six months to one-year related experience preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted; must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license. Must be 21 years of age or older.


ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Line Cook

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation of main dishes, sides, salads and condiments. The cook shares the responsibility for general kitchen cleaning, including surfaces, coolers, freezers and floors. Assists in unloading, inspecting and storing incoming food and cleaning supplies; and in verifying packing list. Must be 18 or older, and obtain a Food Handler Certification.


Vault Auditor

Daily duties include reporting for all vault activity and accountability for all money coming in and going out of the vault. The Vault Auditor will work closely with the Revenue Auditor and Controller to ensure compliance with the Internal Controls and New Mexico Gaming Control Board Minimum Standards. Must be 21 or older, and obtain a New Mexico Gaming License.

 

Slot Tech

Employee is responsible for maintaining the integrity and operation of each slot machine on the casino floor or in the slot shop. Employee also authorizes and verifies jackpots, and fills them according to the policies and procedures set forth by the company and the New Mexico Gaming Control Board. Must be 21 or older, and obtain a New Mexico Gaming License.

 

Security Officer

Conduct fixed post/area assignments or patrol assigned areas; issue citations or make on-the-spot informative corrections regarding regulatory or safety issues; secure and collect physical evidence through proper Chain of Custody procedures; control crowds and vehicular traffic; prevent criminal activity, and maintain peace and order; control access/egress to restricted areas; and protect life and property through enforcement of safety policies. Must be 21 or older, and obtain a New Mexico Gaming License and New Mexico Racing License. 

 

Surveillance Officer

Responsible for monitoring the gaming floor, the cashier’s cage and other locations for any suspicious activity. Report any activity that may violate company policy or gaming laws to their supervisor via written and verbal reports. Must be 21 or older, and obtain a New Mexico Gaming License.
